Food Scavenger Hunt with the Pickle Project
November 14, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
How much do you think about the food you buy and eat? This Saturday, join the Pickle Project for a city-wide scavenger dedicated to a topic we can all relate to: food. Find out what foods travel the furthest to get to your dinner plate and what foods are the most locally sourced. Discover foods you’ve never tried before and seek out the foods that remind you of home.
We’ll meet at America House where you’ll join a group and set out to document a variety of food-related tasks using photo, video, a social media. Then we’ll gather back at America House to share our discoveries.
The Pickle Project is an initiative started by two American Fulbright alumni who share a love of food, Ukraine, and an understanding that there many different ways to think about food. Check out our blog (http://pickleproject.blogspot.com/) and Facebook page (http://on.fb.me/1kJafqP).
The event will be in English.
What you will need: Camera, ID, good walking shoes, and a smile.
