Looking for a place to swim in Kiev? Here’s all you need to know about private beach clubs and resorts in Kiev and its suburbs as well as free city beaches. One important tip – many of Kiev’s private beach clubs
can get crowded during warmer weather; so reservations are usually a good idea for bungalows and sun loungers, but even with reservations, it’s best to get there early –even for the free beaches.
Private Beach Clubs in Kiev
Olmeca Plage is an upscale summer entertainment complex on the bank of Kiev’s Dnieper (Dnipro) River outside the city center in Hidropark. The complex features a swimming pool and a private river beach; other amenities include: a gourmet restaurant, a playground for children, an open-air fitness zone, a massage parlor, and professional volleyball courts. Olmeca is considered one of the best beach clubs in Kiev, and it turns into a nightclub after dark. The beach is technically “free,” though you’ll have to pay for sun-loungers and umbrellas. The view at Olmeca is great for people watching by the pool AND if you look up across the river you can see the golden domes of the beautiful Kiev Pecherska Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Bora-Bora Beach Club
Bora-Bora Beach Club is one of Kiev’s more popular private beach clubs–though it’s not especially well-known having good service; perhaps its popularity is due to its prices that are lower than Olmeca Club, Bora-Bora’s more upscale neighbor. The club is located on Kiev’s Hidropark so it’s reachable by metro. Here you’ll find a riverfront beach with clean sand and trees as well as a large swimming pool area. You can rent sun-loungers, large floating mattresses and private bungalows. Bora-Bora has a wooden dance floor and DJ music. Light snacks are also available.

Here you’ll find two large swimming pools, comfortable sun beds, deck chairs, a bar, restaurant, and even a fitness area with machines and free weights. Because of its central location and popularity, City Beach Club often is crowded. The atmosphere here is more that of a nightclub even on weekdays, except there are lots of pretty girls and buff guys strutting around in their bathing suits. It gets loud with DJ music on weekends (even during the day) at City Beach Club, so if you’re looking for a quiet place to sit by the pool and read, this isn’t it; but if you want a party atmosphere and people-watching, you’ll find what you’re looking for here.

In the daytime you can enjoy sun and swimming in the Dnipro river with your friends, co-working with free WiFi, sports activities. At the night have fun and party with DJ music, enjoy cocktails and beers and dancing at the disco.
